As Chief Creative Officer of Black Consumer News and COO of BCN Arkansas, Angela “Angel” Burt is one of Central Arkansas’s most versatile and talented business professionals, event organizers, and entrepreneurs, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Angel Face Beauty Inc. In that role, Angel demonstrates her creative gifts by offering the latest beauty tips and techniques through her varied business enterprises, and as an expert beauty consultant and TV personality on KATV’s Good Morning Arkansas.
Locally, Angel formerly hosted her own radio talk show called Naturally Fab, Fit & Beautiful, which focuses on natural beauty, healing, and holistic wellness. Among other things, the local beauty maven’s show is inspiring African Americans and others to get and stay healthy, eat right and be naturally fit. During the hour-long show, Angel interviews wellness professionals from across the globe who offer their perspectives to help listeners transform to a healthier lifestyle. The local beauty aficionado also hosts “Ideas with Impact,” a “newsier” business-oriented show that highlights local entrepreneurs making a difference in their communities.
In the business arena, Angel is director of the up-and-coming Made in Africa fashion show, where the longtime runway model oversees the international showcase event held as part of the annual Africa Day Fest in downtown Little Rock. The “Nubian-focused” fashion show features models of all talent-levels and age ranges. Designers like Korto Momolu, Freddie Reynolds, and Missy Temeke also participate in the yearly event held at the Junction Bridge in the city’s River Market district.
As a community organizer, Angel is also the current Executive Director of the Dunbar Historic Neighborhood Association and a member of Mayor Frank Scott Jr.’s Opportunity Zone Task Force. At BCN, Angel will also responsible for leading the Black-owned news startup’s sales and advertising marketing and outreach.
