BCN Staff – The Runwayz Fashion Party is inviting everyday trendsetters to walk the runway wearing the hottest fashion they have longed to bring out of the closet. Debuting in Arkansas on Nov. 19 at 7:00 p.m., this unique fashion-show-themed party will fill the Robinson Center Grand Ballroom with trendy music and the unique personal styles across the region.
According to Runwayz coordinator Max Sprinkle, a Little Rock attorney, the fall fashion event stands out as the only occasion for general admission advance ticket purchasers to choose to walk the runway instead of highly paid models. Runway categories carry playful names, like “Revenge of the Nerd,” “Gold Rush,” and “Party People.” Fun prizes will go to the best in each category, he said.
“One week before Black Friday and the holiday season of shopping and giving, you can come out and enjoy music and dance at its finest, all centered on the fashion, style, and swagger of the city’s trendiest crowd,” said Sprinkle. “The theme is, “What’s in your closet? It’s like a fashion show, but the party attendees walk the runway showcasing their personal style.”
Before the strutting begins, however, Runwayz will also host a fashion donation drive ahead of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. Event attendees are invited to donate coats, jackets, and fashions of all sizes in good or excellent condition between the hours of 4-8 p.m.
